A more serious project which is currently in progress, working with a Neuroscientist colleague, and a seizure sufferer to create a much cheaper smart device/mobile app that leverages on-device technology such as gyroscope, GPS, accelerometer and heart monitoring, to detect Myoclonic or Clonic seizures.
Most of the current devices available are very expensive and require costly subscriptions.
One of the main challenges for this project is finding an extremely reliable webservice to handle SMS messaging.

Research Progress:
This is going to require leveraging the Android Wearables Health Services as well as the watchOS equivalent HealthKit.
It also looks like it may be necessary to develop individual Android and watchOS versions in Kotlin and Swift.
Due to the instability of Twilo, and frankly appalling service uptime of OneSignal, will be investigating FireBase inApp Messaging and WhatsApp for Business as potential alternatives.
